I Don't Care
Updated: Aug 23, 2021

In this world we tend to care about things that don't matter. This is the time to focus and uphold the things that do matter like never before. Let us take a look on what that looks like in our lives.
"I don't care" sounds pretty harsh, doesn't it? When it comes to choosing the things of God or the things of this world, I don't think it is. This season I have come to learn what things to focus on. It may come with disagreements from others but it doesn't come in disagreement with God. How can that be? A relationship with Christ is indeed a personal one. You must learn to consult with God always on your footsteps at all times at any given moment. I have weighed everything in accordance to God's scale and some things that made sense to me before no longer made sense to the directions of Gods. My eyes were open to His alignment. His plans weigh so heavy and are so valuable in this season that I simply don't care about things that are not in alignment for the will of my life. I have to make sure that even my time and days are spent in alignment. Anything outside of that, does not matter, respectfully speaking.
2 Corinthians 4:18 states:
I focused on the part of scripture where it states, "For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever". There are things that simply wont matter in the grand scheme of things. The grand scheme is God, who is eternal. He is the "what we cannot see" that will last forever. With that being said, wouldn't the desire while living this life out is to only do what matters to God?
As I stated earlier in the blog, I have learned to not care about what does not align with the plan of God in my life. I have had conversations with my family and named this growth in my life the season of "I don't care". I don't care about the things that God are not in or the things that are just "busy work". Don't get it twisted, I am not trying to go anywhere fast or a certain place that I want to be so I pick and choose what I FEEL will get me to a place. I just want to fulfill the plan that God has laid out for me. The fruit of doing what God wants me to do becomes evident. There is peace, joy, and contentment available in the directions once you have placed your trust in Him. Who would care about the other stuff if it does not produce this kind of fruit?
We are human and we will tend to care about things out of just being human. Peter 5:7 states "Casting all your care upon him, for he careth for you". We should want to cast these cares that we humanly feel unto God because if we are not careful they will become our compass. Allow God to filtrate all that you give Him and in return He will give you back the cares that align with your purpose.
What is my purpose for this blog? The purpose is to encourage a refocus to anyone that will read the blog, listen to the podcast, or watch the live broadcast. Its easy right now to care about things in the world because now more than ever we see things are directly effecting us. People we know and are close to are getting sick, facing injustices, and the weather is doing whatever it wants to do this season. These things are effecting our finances and our livelihood and to go even deeper, it is effecting our emotional state and mental stability. These things were never meant for us to care so deeply for. These were meant to be put in front of the Lord always. Cast your cares unto him because He cares for you. "I don't care" because he has those things that once caused me anxiety and worry in His hands. "I don't care" because I trust the Lord to guide my footsteps. Even in the scripture He asked to cast ALL your cares. Whomever will receive this message, this is not the time to carry such heavy burdens that Jesus died on the cross to gladly take the load for you.
Have faith and give it ALL to Him.
