Just Do It.

What does it take for us to continue to walk into what God has called us to do even after receiving confirmation after confirmation? Hearing and getting the okay from God does not become the issue anymore, it becomes our obedience to the plans laid out that becomes the problem and why we wont “Just Do It”.
As I was sitting on my couch after punching out from work, I anxiously looked through my phone for new periscopes, Face book live posts, and YouTube sermons or messages to listen to. I was in need of a “word”. You know a word from God that will give you a push into the right direction and give you confirmation to “Just Do It”. The “It” being what He have purposed you to do since the day before you were born. The “It” that has a sole purpose of changing lives and bring focus onto the Savior, our Father.
With every sermon that I tend to tap into, I hear the same confirmation time and time again. In so many words “Write the book, write the book, WRITE THE BOOK!” Even though I have started I had deadlines to finish that were never met but yet I found time to get a “word”. When God starts to render the same word to you over and over again, how many times will He keep telling you the same thing? The continual repetitive words are starting to sound like an alarm, a warning bell. The need for the purpose to be fulfilled is a need! It has nothing to do with me whatsoever. It is something commissioned by God Almighty. It is an order not a request!
I don’t know about those that feel the burden of the pull of their assignments- but it becomes EXHAUSTING! He will not leave you alone. The sadness, the emptiness, the feeling of being uncomfortable, the discontentment that you may be feeling in your life is because you have not laid a finger on what God has called you to do; you have not even scratched the surface! This feeling will follow you for the rest of your life until you yield. You will keep going from job to job, moving from state to state, everything but what you are called to do because of your disobedience.
And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field. Blessed shall be the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your cattle, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. – Deuteronomy 28:1-6
As I sat on my couch and found a “word” to listen to, it was as if the Pastor was speaking directly to me but this time it caused to me have a disgusted feeling in the very pit of my stomach. The feeling was “Ralinda don’t miss it, Ralinda just do it, do as I command my daughter”. We all talk about fear being a reason to not go into the things that we are purposed to go into but truth be told, fear IS another form of disobedience.
If we love God so much, why would we say no to what He has blue printed for us since the beginning of time in order to save His people? Why should He have to pump and prime us to do what is necessary? We basically are saying “No, I will not do as you say God, because I will not find the time for it, I am scared, and I care too much what people say…” I, I, I, and I again. It only takes a second in order for Him to simply push “I” out of the way and choose someone else that will say “Yes”. Remember He is Sovereign. I don’t know about you all, but I love His presence too much to give up. I will push my way to finish what He is requiring of me.
Let the journey begin!
